Why cast iron?

Cast iron holds heat like nothing else, so stews simmer evenly and bread gets a crackling crust. There is no coating to flake or wear out; seasoned cast iron gets better with every use and lasts for generations.

What to cook

No-knead sourdough, beef bourguignon, pulled pork, chilli, roast chicken, and campfire cooking. Sear steak on the grill lid, then use it as a cover to finish.

Care and cleaning

Hand wash with hot water, dry immediately and wipe with a thin layer of oil. Avoid soaking.
