About This Specimen

Draco hennigi is a flying dragon endemic to Borneo — one of the most biodiverse islands on Earth and a centre of endemism for the genus Draco, which reaches its greatest species diversity across the Sundaic archipelago. Named in honour of the German entomologist and evolutionary biologist Willi Hennig (1913–1976) — the founder of cladistics and phylogenetic systematics, whose 1966 work Phylogenetic Systematics fundamentally transformed the way biologists classify and understand the relationships between all living organisms — this species carries one of the most scientifically distinguished names in the genus. A scientifically distinguished, biogeographically significant, and visually exceptional addition to any serious natural history collection or herpetological study.

Perfect for herpetologists, naturalists, natural history collectors, educators, artists, and interior designers seeking authentic specimens with genuine scientific and aesthetic value.
